Kingsbarns, GB
A Kyle Phillips course.
The course
Kingsbarns occupies a stretch of the Fife coastline a few miles southeast of St Andrews, where designer Kyle Phillips shaped a links that touches the North Sea on a majority of its holes. Opened in 2000 on the site of a much older course, it quickly earned a place among the most sought-after rounds in Scotland. It hosts the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship alongside the Old Course and Carnoustie.
Signature hole: The par-5 12th runs along the cliff edge above the North Sea, its fairway curling with the shoreline before a green set against the water.
